Aargh. What is this?

Hi folks.

Somehow I have inserted a horizontal line into my doc., and there seem to be no way to delete it. I think I entered a couple of dashes and then hit return, then this damn line appeared and won't go away. Anybody know how I can delete it? I've tried everything I can think of.
