change default text direction in text box microsoft word

I accidently clicked something and now when I open a text box the text
direction has changed from the original default. how can I change this
default to what I want?

You clicked on the TextBox text orientation button on the TextBox
toolbar. When you click on a textbox, the toolbar should appear to
reset it. If not...draw out another textbox, click on it and then
click View > Toolbars > Textbox. Note that the textbox toolbar is only
available from that list when you click on a textbox.

Check out this article, as there's a section on text orientation and
you'll see screen shots about what you did and what you have to do to
fix it.
