How do I open multiple project plans [2] in separate windows?

Help. I am using MSProject 2003 and it won't let me have multiple windows
open for multiple files. When I open a new file, it puts it in the same
window as the already open file. I am also unable to open/invoke another
Project window from using Start/Programs when one is already open.

Thanks Mike, that is what I have been doing, but I would rather have two
completely different sessions of Project going at the same time. Other MS
applications allow it. Seems like there might be a bug with 2003.

Hi Biznuz,

I'm not sure if this is what you are searching for...Although you cannot run
multiple sessions of Project you can have each Project file open appear in as
a separate item in your task bar.
Check Tools>Options, view tab and enable "Windows in Taskbar" under the Show
headings.

Thanks Julie, that helps somewhat, so that I can use ALT-Tab to toggle
between the two. However, I would still like to have two independent windows
to move around the screen so that I could see more columns and tasks when
toggling. This would be especially beneficial on my widescreen laptop.

Hi Biznuz,

You're welcome for what small assistance I could give. Sorry, there isn't
another answer available to run two instances of Project.
