Excel Redraw error in Mac Excel 2008 and PC Excel 2007

I am having an issue with Excel

I have a list of uid's to which I am traying to attach a Domain name. The
formula I am using is this:

=F2&"@domain.name"

When I input the equation the cel renders properly combine the first cel
with the "@domain.name"

However when I copy the formula to subsequent cels using copy cels as an
option. Every copied cel renders the first cel name instead of the new uid
and doamin name.

I checked all copied cels. And they have the correct formula in them. IE it
copied correctly but the resulting cel value only displays the first value
of the series. Where I started the cel copy.

If I manually edit each formula in the copied series the correct value is
displayed.

How can I fix this? Or have I discovered a bug...

This happens in both Mac and PC versions of the document.

I don't know what you mean by this: "using copy cels as an option." What
specific method are you using to copy the formula from one cell to the
others?

What happens if you use the Fill Handle (nub at the lower right corner of
the selected cell) & drag down?

Thanks for the reply.

When I use the "Fill Handle" to copy an option box pops-up with three
options. I Use the "Copy Cels" option.

I also discovered that if I manually hit enter after every equation in every
cel of the copy range the Redraw error disappears. Kind of a pain for 200
cels.

OK, that gives me a clue....

Go to Excel> Preferences> Calculation, select Automatic. Things will work as
you expected once you close the Preferences dialog. BTW, there's no need to
click the Paste Options button unless you intend to use something other than
the default option.
