gan

when i open a document, when I view the document in Print
Layout / Print preview , L shaped marks appear on the
top, bottom, right, left in the balnk document ? These L
shaped marks move when I adjust the top, bottom, right, left
margins in the document.

I would like to hide /disable these L shaped symbols ?

They may be the text boundaries, the display of which can be turned off via
Tools>Options>View. If not, they are marks associated with Asian languages.
If you disable Asian language support (Windows > start > programs >
Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Tools > Language support) they will go
away. If you need Asian language support, you are stuck with them.

I also have this problem on a couple of PC's (one has Word 2002 and the other has Word 2003). It definitely isn't text boundaries. I have checked for installed languages - only had English U.K. and English U.S. This has only just started to occur and the characters appear on all documents (old and new).
