About ON Mobile functionality

I've used ON on my desktop for a long time at work. I just got a phone
running Windows Mobile with ON mobile on it. I wanted to try using ON at
home for synching with my phone, so I downloaded a trial version of it. It's
useless. Many of the menu options are disabled. I can't get it to synch
with ON on my phone, another post suggested installing it into the phone from
ON desktop (even though it's already there), but I can't since that menu item
is disabled (there's an option on some of the menus which reads, "explain
choices on this menu" which, when clicked, does nothing. Neat.

Anyway, I just wanted to confirm that I can neither draw free form nor
create to-do lists (check boxes) using ON mobile. With whatever version I
have on my phone I cannot. This makes it useless.

Did you activate your trial version ?

Of course not. That's the whole point of a trial; I want to see if it works
before purchasing it.

Even a trial version has to be activated.

Wow. OK, I activated it. Still no option to install to mobile device. But
my only question is whether you can do anything in ON mobile other than type
text and insert pictures (can't take hand drawn notes or create checklists).

Did you try to install from "Tools | Options | OneNote Mobile"?
What happened when you tried that?

Right.
But ON Mobile is most useful for keeping things originating from ON the
computer.
This way I have a lot of info at hand on my PDA. I use that several
times daily and it's become a most important instrument for me.
