MPEG's won't run !!

InOverMyHead

My new computer (WinXPPro) isn't able to "run" a slide show using mpeg
files. But my older one (Win2000) can do it fine. Both run PowerPoint 2000
SP-3. The new one shows a thumnail still picture but never get's any motion
going. Is there some plug-in I need?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

New computer usually means old video driver. That's where I would start. Go to
the video card manufacturer's website and look for a driver for your card and
Win XP. If it's a laptop, try the laptop manufacturer's website instead.

Also, go to Start > Run and type mplay32.exe and open the video file and press
the Play icon. Does it work? Let us know.
