Office 2007 & Win 7 reinstalls

Ted V

I have a valid copy of Office 2007 and I blow away my copy of XP to try
Windows 7. I then reinstalled Office 2007. I am going to do it again and move
to the Win 7 RTM version and I just realized that the multiple activations
may cause a problem. Is there any way to deactive my copy before I do the
reinstall of Windows again?
Thanks,
Ted

Activations are per computer. You should be able to repeatedly activate
Office on the same computer, as many times as you want, irrespective of how
many operating systems you have installed. If not then call the number and
do the telephone activation. If you have Windows 7 RC now, it should update
painlessly to RTM, unless they have changed the meanings of "RC" and "RTM".

Ted V,

Earle Horton is correct that activations are assigned to the computer, not
the OS. Office 2007 should work just as fine on the RC as it will on the RTM.

For another great resource for information regarding Windows 7RC, head on
over to Microsoft Springboard.
