resizing calendar templates

I am hoping to use the 2008-09 academic calendar template for our school
calendar flyer. Is there a way to change the size of the whole thing, easily?
I'd like to manipulate it in Excel (shade vacation days, etc) then import the
individual calendars into Publisher.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Why not either use Excel or Publisher for the entire calendar from start to
finish? Speaking for myself, I really don't like starting a task in one
program then importing the data into another. Something *always* goes awry
in the transition.

I'm more familiar with Publisher than Excel, but I don't know how to get the
preformatted calendars there, ones that I can manipulate, shade, etc. If they
exist, could you point me to where?

It's more a Publisher project, I think, because there are also images, and
text. So if I can do it all there, that'd be super.
