Text Overflow icon?

W. Lewis

What is it and what does it mean? At the bottom of my text
box I have an icon that says "Text in overfow" What does
it mean and how do I correct the problem?

Am I correct in thinking that it means there is text
outside the boundries of the text box?

Thanks for your help to this new user!

The answer to your question is in the Microsoft Publisher help menu under
"Get text out of overflow":

When a text box or AutoShape (AutoShapes: A group of ready-made shapes that
includes basic shapes, such as rectangles and circles, plus a variety of
lines and connectors, block arrows, flowchart symbols, stars and banners,
and callouts.) contains more text than it can display, Publisher stores the
extra text in overflow (overflow: Text that does not fit within a text box.
The text is hidden until it can be flowed into a new text box, or until the
text box it overflows is resized to include it.). You can move your text out
of overflow and back into your publication by fitting text automatically,
enlarging the text box, changing the text size, changing the margins within
the text box, or deleting some of the text in the text box.
