Hi to everyone and thanks for reading my question:

I am workind on an edition of an old scientific text, that will be republished as a re-edition with commentary. Doing this I have the following problem: Already the original text uses footnotes (arabic numbers) - so I want to insert comments with a second set of footnotes at the end of each page. Is it possible to have two sets of footnotes (arabic numbers and latin numbers) on one page? - I don't want endnotes. If it is possible to have two sets of footnotes on one page, how can I do it in Word 2010?

Thanks

Hi Ahasja
Has anyone replied to this post.
I have exactly the same issue in Word 2016. I am editing a medieval manuscript and I need roman letters (a, b, c) for textual notes and arabic numbers (1,2,3) for general nots. I need both on same page.

If anyone can help, please add a note.
Thanks
Chris
