Access 2007 - Slow Cursor Movement in Forms

G

Glenn

Cursor movement and typing in forms were very "snappy" in Access/Office 2003
but are now experiencing a very noticeable lag in 2007. Very irritating
waiting for the cursor and words to catch up.

Can this be fixed somehow?

How old is your computer? What processer and how much memory does it have?
I'm not sure, but maybe 2007 has higher system requirements than 2003
(knowing MS - quite likely)

Maybe you need to upgrade...?

Access MDB is for fucking retards and it has been for 10 years

just use Access Data Projects; get ONE dual core desktop to use as a
SQL 2005 Express server

I found that when I use the tabbed view instead of the overlapping window
view, typing is much smoother. (Access Options, Current Database, Document
Window Options, set to Tabbed Documents) You might try that.
