BCM- Error at staertup - The folder you specified cannot be found

After installing the outlook connector add-in, I receive an error message
every time I start up outlook 2003. Business Contact Manager The folder you
specified cannot be found. When I click on OK the message comes back another
2 times then stops. BCM appears to work ok.

This is a real pain. Does anyone have a decent suggestion as to how I can
solve this and get rid of the incorrect error messages?

Thanks

Try this without BCM. If you are still getting it, try installing BCM SP1
from the web.

Here's one thing that may explain the behavior you are seeing.

The sql server service may be set to manual start. So BCM starts up,
detects sql isn't running and tells it to start, it takes three
connection attempts before the service starts responding. If that's
the case, set the sql service to start automatically.

Does this happen every time you start Outlook, or just the first time
after you login to WIndows?

Luther,

thanks for the tip. SQL service was set to manual. Donot know how or why
because my Laptop has been running BCM for almost 18 nmonths without problems.

Just changed the service to automatic and restarted outlook, the error
message didnot appear! Lets hope that the probem does not come back, If so I
will let you know through this forum.
