My daughter's windows 7 Lenovo T410 laptop was purchased in 2011 with Office 2010 pre-installed, but it came with no install media. Along came SP2 a while back, and it will not let her update because it wants the CD/DVD to be installed. Plus it is missing the MSOCache folder which it also wants. I can easily create that folder, but have no good idea what if anything needs to be in it.
This is a known error, but the only solution I can find is that apparently there was supposed to be an MS Update KB that corrected this, but we don't know if that is true or if she ever got it (the error is still happening).
Does anyone have a solution for this? Lenovo wasn't much help.
