    Dear all,

Is it possible to convert a WORD document to a VISO format
    file?

I have a WORD document with a flowchart containing some
rectanglar shapes and lines end with arrows, is there a
simple way to convert them to VISIO's stencil items inside
a VISIO file? I have tried to drag it, but it's only a
    imported drawing item......

    thanks & regards,
    John.

    Hi John,

I have a Yes and a No to your question.
    - Yes you can pull the Autoshapes into Visio.
    - Do a copy of the Autoshapes in the Word Document and then Paste them
    into Visio drawing.
    - Then Ungroup the Objects in Visio
    - Well they are there in the drawing as shapes

This is not a 100% direct conversion of the shapes from Word to Visio, but
atleast you have the shapes that were draw in Word come into the Visio
    drawing

    Hope this answers your question

    Thanks and regards,
