Cost vs. baseline cost error

Hello to all hope you can help with this one.
Mutilple projects linked into one master with links to
each other.
Each has baseline set independant of each other.
Looking at the Gantt view, Baseline Cost and Cost match up
go to the Task Usage view they do not. The timescaled data
when pulled is low. When comparing the Baseline Cost to
the Cost some of the timescaled matches some don't, some
are off by a penny others are off by lots of dollars.
I've reset the baseline in Projects 2000 and 2002 with the
same results and on another machine.
