Could not load an object because it is not availabe on this machine

I keep getting error message: "Could not load an object because it is not
availabe on this machine." whenever I launch PowerPoint 2002. How can I
find out what objects are missing. I have click cancel 3-4 times in order
for it to work.

Yes, I do have Acrobat 6 installed. What settings do I need to change to
disable that "Microsoft Forms" error message? I tried disabling some
checkboxes but the error message prevails.

I have the same problem with Powerpoint 2003. Whenever I open a pesentation I get the same error message. It comes up in a Microsoft Forms dialog box. "Could not find an object because it is not available on this machine" I also have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 installed as well as other add-ins. When I used Powerpoint XP, I never ran into this problem

Try disabling the PPA (add-in) files by renaming them to *.PPO or *.OLD in
Windows Explorer. See if you still get the error message.

If not, then you can rename the add-ins one at a time back to *.PPA until
you can isolate the problem.

I found the offending add-in. After removing it, the error message went away. It was the Word/Phrase Search add-in I downloaded from http://www.mvps.org/skp/wordsearch.htm. Apparently there is something incompatible/missing in PPT 2003. The web site states the program only works with PPT 97/2000/2002 so my mistake.

Interesting. Thank you very much for the update. I'll mention it to the Word
MVPs -- maybe it can be updated for 2003.

I'm the creator the add-in, though the site does not mention it, the add-in
works for PPT 2003 as well. It appears that either:
a) The installation failed to register the MS Flexgrid control on your
system due to insufficient rights
b) The MS Flexgrid control was deleted after installation.
