Deleted trial version of microsoft project created problems

When deleting a trial version of project, somehow the windows uninstall
software wizard deleted my Microsoft Picture Manager as well. In addition it
turned all of the text for icons on my entire computer blue in color and now
my computer runs extremely slow. When running disk defrag it's almost
entirely in the red as well. I tried system restore to before the project
deletion, but it wouldn't let me. Big host of problems, but have any of you
seen this happen before?

Hi Josh,

I haven't seen this particular situation before, but if the System Restore
doesn't have a valid restore point, and the disk is extraordinarily
fragmented, then I would say that there is probably a disk hardware error.
You may want to run a Check Disk command to determine if you have any bad
sectors, and--if you haven't already--back up your key data as soon as
possible to an external location.
