Drop Down formfield with over 25 items in list for Word 2007

The standard answer to this very often asked question is:

The dropdown from the Forms toolbar can't handle more than 25 items.

Is the 25 dropdown limit still applicable in Word 2007 dropdown control?

No - the Dropdown content controls will accept more than 25 entries. It is
only the legacy controls that are limited to 25.
