Earned Value (BAC,VAC) keeps comparing with Baseline, not Baseline

I am in desperate need of help as there is a slight deadline this afternoon.

I have set a baseline, and after sometime set another baseline (baseline2)
due to some significant variations to the project.

When I run an earned value report, the BAC, VAC, and I presume EAC is based
on the original Baseline, NOT baseline2. I have set in
Options->Calculations->earned value the settings to calculate earned value on
baseline2.

I am also using Physical % Complete as the measure for earned value
(specified at project option level and at task level as well).

I want to get a report comparing the current actuals to baseline2. I
thought it would be as easy as running an earned value report in Project
2003, but Im very stuck and a deadline is approaching.

Anyones help would be great!!

A second part question is that EAC is different when the project is run on
2003 and when run on 2007. Does Project use different formulas for EAC in the
different versions?

Cheers,

Yazz

This may or may not fix the issue, but one thing I would recommend is to
always have Baseline 0 as the most recent version of the baseline.

Can you copy

Baseline0 > Baseline 1
Baseline 2 > Baseline0....?

To do so, go to the Project Tracking, Save Baseline dialogue box, then
select the Interim Plan, and copy one to another.

This might allow you to have your reports work properly.....

EAC seems to work the same for me in both versions. I created a file, and
opened it in both 2003 and 2007 with the same results.

EAC appears to calculate the same way for both: EAC = ACWP + (BAC -
BCWP)/CPI, which simplified is EAC = BAC / CPI.

Might the status date be set differently in each program?
