Emails opening slowly in Outlook 2000.

When double clicking on a message that is in Outlook 2000 it takes a while to
load. This doesn't seem to happen on all messages, and it's not on messages
that may be graphic intense. It's almost random. Has anyone run into this
or know a way to get the messages to open quicker?

With Outlook closed, try deleting or renaming the file
%Appdata%\Microsoft\Outlook\Outcmd.dat.

Brian,

Thanks for the response I will give this a try. Just wanted to add some
more info on this. I was watching the CPU usage while opening an email and
it spikes to 100% while the email opens. It takes anywhere from 30 sec to1
min to open. It will also go slow when closing the email.
