Everytime I open Word my entire computer freezes up

I don't know what to do, and I am asking for any suggestions. Everytime I
try to open Word in anyway my entire computer freezes up, and sometimes it
will tell me it is not responding. Both NortanAntiVirus and Spy Sweeper do
not find any viruses in my system. I have also tried to remove and reinstall
Word many times. I simply don't know how to get my Word working. Can anyone
help me?
