Excel would not let me enter anything?

Hi,
This afternoon I was entering information and held down the shift key too
long. After I got an error message about this which I didn't get to fully
read, excel would not let me enter any information or copy or paste or
anything. How can I fix my problem about holding the shift key too long?

Click on Start | Control Panel | Accessibility Options | Keyboard
| uncheck the "Use FilterKeys" box | OK.

what are you doing that requires you to hold down the shift key for so
long, most programs wouldn't require you to do that,
it you are writing text in CAPS then hit the Caps button
