Front Page 2000 vs Front Page 2003

Recently I noticed that in FP 2000 when working with forms, appears to have added some java script when a field could not be validated. In FP 2003, it appears as though this java script is not automatically added. Am I correct or did I do something and forgot that I did it?

If you set a field to be validated, some script will be generated to
validate it.

In FP 2000, the java script generates a pop-up screen stating the field with the error. In FP 2003, just a screen with an error message is generated. Can I use the java script from an older site with the same validations in FP 2003 - I like how it works better?

But with most people using pop-up blockers, maybe the page that is generated by FP 2003, is better - any thoughts?
