How can I crop a circle out of a photo?

I inserted a photo into publisher and all I can do is crop out a square. Is
there a way that I can crop out a circle?

Burnerexpert,

Draw a circle using the the drawing tools on the object bar along the left
side of your screen. Once you have drawn your circle, right click your
circle and go to Format AutoShape. Under the Color Fill, go to Fill Effects
then Picture Tab. Browse to your picture and insert the picture.

This will not allow you to designate an area to crop as a circle, it will
just crop the picture from the center. If you crop your picture as a square
by using your crop tool, you can save that newly cropped picture as a new
picture, then insert THAT picture into the circle.

It came with the microsoft office 2000 professional. There's a crop tool that
makes a square But I need to cut out a circle.

I think your best solution would be to
crop your image using an image editing
program and then insert the cropped
image into your Publisher document.

If you do not have an image editing
program...Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10
would be an excellent choice.
