How do I recover a file I saved over?

I intended to make two versions of the same ppt file -- one with back up
slides and one without. Unfortunately, when I deleted the back up slides, I
mistakenly hit the save button before renaming the file.

Is there a way to undo the save feature and recover the original file?

Doesn't that just suck. Whoever (going back a long way) decided to put the "Save" option next to the "Save as....." on
the file menu? I wonder how many times this happens to people in a day. It's just too easy press that mouse button, when
the pointer slips from "save as" to "save". enough of my rant...

There is a slim chance you can recover your saved over presentation from temp file.......see
