IDAPI error

After removing several programs from my computer, Outlook
will not start and gives error message "Cannot find IDAPI
files. Check registry." Outlook tries to fix itself but
still produces error. I have deleted and re-loaded, still
does not work.
Seems to be a problem with the address book that for some
reason has always defaulted to "Corel 8 settings". I note
that the address book in Word Perfect 10 also does not
work anymore and tried re-loading Word Perfect but still
have problem.

Frank - I've got the same problem. I am presently on hold with Microsoft (29 minute wait). If I find a solution I'll share it with. I too have tried all the things you mention with no luck. So much for trying to free up disc space.

Here's the fix - go to control panel/mail icon. Click on e-mail accounts. Under Directory click on view or change existing directories or address books. Higlight Corel 8 Address Book and remove. Fixed my problem. Good Luck.
