Ink picture background / Replacing the Ink picture programmaticall

Is there a way to access an ink picture background from the InfoPath Editor
not the designer? I'm mainly interested in injecting a map as the background
picture so the user could annotate it before submitting the form to the
server. The background image is not always the same.

Another alternative is may be to preload an ink picture programmatically and
allow the user to modify it. I tried this approcah by base64-encoding an
existing image and loading it as the ink picture image, however Infopath
couldn't display it...

Any help/comment is really appreciated.
