Inserted Background Image tiling across background!

Tony Law

I have an image that I've inserted into a Word document as a Background. I
went to Format|Background|Fill Effects|Picture to do it. The image takes up
almost the entire page.

When I print, instead of one big image in the background, it tiles 36
smaller images across the whole thing. Also, even though the image is only
500k when I print, it spools to about 92 Meg!

Help!!!

Hi Tony,

The fill effects will tile for both printed and
webpage output.

If you use Format=>Background=>Printed Watermark
and select picture you can use Auto to have it
size and only be once per page and you can use
View=>Header=>Footer to manually resize it if need be.

If it's spooling for each tile that may be printer
dependent (i.e. if the printer doesn't have memory
to save a single download of the graphic).
