Inter-office Mail - Help

G

Gerard

Hey all
I can't get mail addressed to our domain name (GMS.com) to stay internal. I have a SMTP address entry for @GMS.com in the default recipient policy, but mail is being sent to bad mail. First, with the wrong sender(Domain Admin, not the users name), the message is sent to the categorizer, and then a NDR is generated. Second, the message goes through again, this time with a <> in the sender field, but this time after the categorizer it is sent to bad mail. Our domain name, GMS.com is not a registered public DNS, so external mail is not sent to that address. I just want us to be able to inter-office email with <[email protected]>. Any help is appreciated as always, thanks again
Gerar

My AD-Domain is GMS.com. GMS.com is our only domain. I am running Win 2k server, SQL Server, DNS server, AD, and Exchange on the DC. 1 NIC, and we connect to the i-net using Cable.

Do you have a smarthost setup?

If you look on the properties of @gms.com in the recipient policy is "This
Exchange Organization is responsible for all mail delivery to this address."
checked?
