LDAP Server not working, error (-50)

I was wanting to check my work email at home, so I set up an exchange account. I was successfully able to do so. The only problem I am having is with my Directory. I entered the LDAP server, which I believe should be the same as the Exchange Server & Public Folders Server name, (http://mail.example.com). But when checking my directory I get this message on the directory window "An unknown error (-50) occurred." Can anybody tell me if I'm doing something wrong? Or any suggestions? Thank you

LDAP servers won't be shared to the Internet. They are actually critical
infrastructure servers for your Windows network and sharing them to the
world would be a huge security risk.

While you can not *browse* the GAL you can use an AppleScript with
Entourage to perform a GAL *lookup*, which should get you what you need.

Hope this helps!
