merging files w/different master pages

i have 40 files that i want to merge into one but some have master pages. any way of having multiple master pages in a Publisher file. been using MS Pub since 1998 but cannot find anything in help search for master pages brings up nothing about master pages. thanks. i have gotten some great help here over the years.
