MSP levels actuals to a time period

Greetings.

I wonder, if anybody could give a hint in the following
case :
- The resource keys-in 15 hours for 29.12.03 and 20.12.03
(WA)
- The PM updates actuals as is
- MSP2002 calculates the actuals to the plan: 0,53 hours
for each day, starting from 29.12.03 and ending to 6.02.04

Previous actuals are correctly in the plan - why this
sudden change. I can not find any project level -
parameters to achieve this and enterprise settings have
not been touched. What about task- or assignment level ?
Can field values (contour...) affect this.

PS The only way I could reproduce this problem was to give
the assignment an actual finish date in the future. The PM
in question says she has not done so.

You can reproduce this behavior by creating a fixed duration task with a
duration that long as well. One would have to see the plan to venture a
guess here.
