Upon istallation into a new pc I keep getting error 1335
cannot copy office1.cab file, may be corrupt? I have tried
all three fixes listed in knowledge base, still does not
work. It works in win2000 but not XP. I do not like the
idea of having to buy another entire program, any
suggestions??? I am exasperated!!

I get this one alot on a client PC. Very fustrating I know.

I've found the best way is like MS asks you to try, and
that is the 'Flatfile' technique. (Copying the CD to HD)

Re-check the knowledge base regarding this to make sure
exactly how to do it. Don't take any short cuts.

I know for certain that you must UN-Hide all your files,
including Hidden system files before Copying the CD.

It's recommended to perform the install under 'Diagnostic
Mode'. You MUST make sure you are running 'Windows
Installer' service before attempting the install.

If you are performing the technique properly and the
install still fails, your CD is likely to either actually
damaged or you may have something wrong with the 'Windows
Installer' service. There has recently been a problem
with this service to which there is a fix.

Hope this helps.

I get the same error. Did everything according to the
knowlege base, even using the same folder name with the
flatfile installation, but no luck. Also get this error
on Win 2003 Standard. I tried 3 different cds, same
eror. CD installs fine on Win 200 Pro.
