One .pst file only for achiving OR normal usage or mixed?

When I setup a (new) .pst file and I setup autoarchiving
then normally all archived stuff goes into this .pst file.

However can I move also "normal" (=un-archived) emails into
such a .pst file?

Or can .pst archives only be dedicated either to arrchive emails OR current emails?

Of course. An Archive PST is just a PST.

The archive data file is the one you point it to in your archive options.
If the archive options point to an archive that doesnt exist, one will be
created

An archive is just another data file, that can be opened, and left open,
within Outlook
