Opening a visio file with Internet Explorer

Dear Everybody,

For a long time I am searching for a solution of the
following problem.

With visio 2003 I'm saving a drawing to html, and would
like to see this with Internet Explorer.

With the computer that I have it's not a problem to open
it with Iexplorer.
But when I try to open on other computers the file, then
it's sometimes working correctly and some of the computers
are giving the same error window.

First offal you getting a window with the following
information.

Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

When I open the link with to get more info about the
error, I'm getting this:

Error signature
AppName: iexplorer.exe AppVer. 6.0.2800.1106 ModName:
ntdll.dll
ModVer. 5.0.2195.5400 Offset: 0004b3f7

I hope that someone can give me more information about
this.

With kind regards,
G.akdag

Have you checked the different PCs to see if they all have the same version
of Internet Explorer? Could a service pack be missing on some of them?

Okay I have discovered something more.

When you access the Visio html files from a server on the
internet. You are getting the error.

But if you opening the Visio files on your local computer
with internet explorer it's not a problem and it doesn't
matter which version of internet explorer you have it will
work.

Is this not possible ?

Hi,

Yes, the Save as Web feature in Visio 2003 (File > Save as Web Page...) is
designed to let you publish the output files to a web server. Are you
specifying an HTTP web server location within the Visio Save as Web feature
when you are saving, or how are you publishing the output files to the
server?

Dear Hamilton,

The drawing that i'm saving as Web Page. I'm up loading
this with Cute ftp program to a web server.

Hi,

Instead of manually publishing the Visio Save as Web page output through an
FTP program, try publishing directly to the web server from within the Visio
Save as Web page dialog, by specifying the http server in the dialog. What
results do you see when you do this? (sorry for the delayed response to
your post - I overlooked your reply inside the recent flood of spam messages
in these newsgroups). thanks.
