Outlook 2003 font frustration

I have just installed Office 2003 and have found a frustrating problem
with Outlook. The default font setting is Arial 12 italic, and after
changing it via Tools, Options, Email etc..., it works fine... Until I
close down Outlook - when I restart Outlook, the font reverts back to
Arial 12 italic again! This is obviously very frustrating - any
ideas????

Got Office 2003 SP1 installed? Do you use Word or Outlook as the e-mail
editor?
