Outlook 2003 not displaying multipart/mixed messages properly

I know that Outlook is known for having problems displaying multipart/mixed messages but this is just weird.

I am using Outlook 2003 with a POP email account and occasionally with an email that has been exchanged a few times already and I will send out a reply and when the person replies back to me what they wrote no longer appears in the email. I basically get back a copy of the email I sent to them without the new text they added in the reply. However if I go into webmail for my POP account and view the same email it is all there displayed normally including what the person wrote in the reply.

This happens with only 1 company and with a few users there and this company uses Lotus Notes 6.5 as their email server and Lotus Groupware client for email. It only happens occasionally and they have no indication there was a problem.

Has anyone come across this before or have any troubleshooting idea's?

Any help would be appreciated!

I've seen that occasionally with one of my correspondents, but just that
one. I remember looking at the message and seeing that his reply text was
only in the text/plain part and not in the text/html part. There's not much
Outlook can do in that case.
