Power Point 2002 vs Academic Power Point

I am not sure this is the correct forum for my questions,
however I am unable to find a C/S link and so I decided
to try this arena.

I am interested in purchasing Power Point. I have two
questions;

a) Is 2002 the latest version?
b) What is the difference between Power Point 2002 and
Academic Power Point 2002?

Hi,

Version 2002 is the latest version, but maybe not for long:

Which version of Office 2003 is right for me?:
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00478.htm

Also information about the academic version:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/Preview/choosing/default.asp

And this one about eligibility:

http://www.microsoft.com/education/?ID=Eligible

But you would have to satisfy yourself that what is in the academic version
is what you want, and *all* of it. There are other links on the same page
about what is in them.
