Project View in Project Server and Project Plan in MS Project Out Of Synch

I had a project plan which I completed in MS Project and published to
Project Server. I realized I had to go back and add a task in between
other existing tasks. I attempted to re-publish the plan and in the
project view in project server the new task is not showing.

I have tried Publish -> All Information, Publish -> New & Changed
Assignments, Publish -> Project Plan (Both with and without summary),
Publish -> Republish Assignments. Regardless, the new task does not
appear in the project view. I have no idea what to try other than
delete the entire project from the project server database and
republish the whole thing. Is this my only option?
