Publisher changes margins when printing duplex

I am using Publisher 2013 and am trying to print a small booklet. If I print using the duplex unit with the HP8600 printer (using Hp6980 driver for the duplex unit to work), the margins change, and I loose part pf the booklet. It seems to shift everything to the right.
Printer settings are:
print all pages
booklet side-fold
letter 8.5 x 11
print both sides flip on long end
under printer properties
Effects
actual size
Finishing
Print both sides, Use auto duplex, preserve layout
Booklet layout off

any ideas on getting the margins to stay put on printing?

(booklet publisher file available upon request-forum would not let publisher file to be uploaded. two pages fornt and back-when printed)
