Hope this is the correct newsgroup. I've just bought a new dell computer
(fast) with word 2002 - I'm used to using 2000. when using this new version
I find myself often typing ahead of the screen. It seems that every tenth
word or so the computer pauses a second to (do something) then it catches
up. very distracting and not what I expect in a fast computer. Is this a
quality of word 2002? Dell is unhelpful so far. I've started the computer
with no other programs running but word and it makes no difference. Also
running from a usb key is painfully slow it's as if the computer isn't using
its memory to hold the word files. I have a week left to decide if I should
send this computer back- but if as dell says all 2002 word acts like that I
need to know first. Thanks for any imput, John
