I'm facing this error with Project 2002 and Project 2003 and the only
solution that seems to be working is formatting the machine and reinstalling
windows again.
I tried all fixes mentioned in Microsoft web site ,Knowledgebase ->
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;818046Article ID :
818046

but still it is not working, I even tried to install the controls manually
as mentioned in the article but while registering the controls I received
the following error:
"DllRegisterServer in pjtextconv2.dll failed.
Return code was:0x8002801c".

I'm having almost 10 pc's facing the same problem, cannot reinstall all of
them, please help.
Thanks in Advance

You must have administrative privileges on the local machine in order
to download the activex.

I had the exact same problem. I logged in as the local administrator and hit
the Project Server URL. The controls installed. I then logged back in as a
domain user and the controls were available (didn't have to install again).
