it's nothing to do with the server, on your local machine
Sounds like your temp folders have got full, close all
programs on search for tmp files on your local machine,
delete them, you may get the odd one you can't delete but
disregard them, start word and try again, if it still
errors, then go into the C:\temp and C:\winnt\TEMP folders
and move any files to C:\my documents if you want to keep
them.
this should fix it.
If the error persists it could be a problem with the swop
file, try moving it to another partition.
