I'm using Outlook 2007 on a Vista Ultimate system.

When I receive an email that contains a forwarded message (message shows as
containing a .eml file), I cannot open the forwarded message. I get the
error message: "This file cannot be previewed because of an error with the
following previewer: Microsoft Office Outlook message and item previewer".
I can't save the attached forwarded mail and open it in anything else, i
can't double click it to open it... there seems to be no way to view the
forwarded mail.

I've seen this issue mentioned a few places I've google'd around to, but
haven't seen any solutions.

Any ideas?

An eml file is an Outlook Express or Windows Mail message. If someone sends
a message to you with one of those clients and attach another message to it,
you won't be able to read it in Outlook because Outlook doesn't know what to
do with an Outlook Express or Windows Mail message. You could drag it into
Windows Mail, and then read it, if you want.

I too have this same problem. I was so proud that I was now using
Outlook exclusively since I switched to Vista and then I could not
open any "forwarded" material. Any solutions?
