Traffic light graphic indicators

How do I insert the graphic indicators into my project plan to indicate the
status of a task?

Red = Past due
Yellow = On track
Green = Complete

Anton --

Without going to a lot of work, you might considering inserting the Status
Indicator field in any task View. The field displays indicators for the
following situation:

Check Mark = Task is completed
Clock Face with Check Mark = Task is on schedule
Clock Face with Red Exclamation Point = Task is behind schedule
No Indicator = Task is a future task

Just a thought to save you some time. Hope this helps.

What more do you need, Anton? You only need to devise the formula to suit
you parameters.

Dale,

Thank you, but my audience is requiring a more of a visual color coded
indicator. I have done this in the past but I don’t remember the formula that
was provided to me in this forum.

Mike,

That formula is what I need.

I need to have the status indicator show that if the task % complete is 25%
then the status light would be red if 50-75% then yellow if 100% then Green

Hi Anton,

I was hoping you'd try a formula of your own! In the Graphical Indicators
dialog, for the first Test select "is less than or equal to" and in Value
type in 25% and select the Red disk. Follow that pattern for the other
tests.
