using an A4 Image as a background in word

Hi, I am creating a template for reports for a client and was wondering how
to use an A4 Jpeg as a background. I tried it but I could not seem to get
the whole image as a background. Any assistance appreciated.

Insert the image with its layout propery set to 'behind text' (in the header
view if you want it on every page). Set the size to 100%, then drag the
image to fill the page area. If you lose the 'handles' you will need to
reselect it with the arrow on the drawing toolbar.

You might want to experiment with "Washout" (Format Picture/Picture Tab/Image
Control/Color/Washout.

Also, remember that unless you are very fortunate with your printer, most
will not print to the edge so you will get a white border
