I get this error when I try to open a visio file. I can
open other vision files. I can see a preview of the file
in the open file dialog box. The support web page
addressing this subject describes trying to open a file
from a zip of floppy - it is on my hard drive. I tried
copying the file to another location on my hard drive and
opening it but got the same error. I tried to open as a
copy in the open file dialog and it would open a stencil
only - no drawing. I tried to save this file
unsuccessfully. I tried installing q278261.exe and that
did not help. I tried closing and re-opening visio and re-
booting several times but that was unsuccesful. I tried
running a scan disk utility but that did not work. It
appears that the file may be corrupt - is there any visio
repair utility? I have Visio 2000 SR1 (6.1.1023) and
Windows 2000 Professional with a Dell Inspiron 8000.
