Word 2002 status bar message

Hello all.
After opening Word 2002, the cursor is in the body of the
window. When I type, there is a message in the status
bar. It says: "This command is not available because the
document is locked for edit." I am unable to type at all.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Have you activated Word? See "OFFXP: About Office Activation and Reduced
Functionality" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=293151. Alternatively,
is the document protected for forms (if so, Tools | Unprotect Document).
