Word Text Box Change Text Direction

There no longer seems to be a simple way to Change Text Direction in a Text
Box. It used to be a simple command in the Format drop-down menu. I DON'T
want to change the Alignment, horizontally or vertically, top, center,
bottom..... That's the only help MS Word in the new millenium provides.
Aaaaarrrrgh!

See if this is what you mean: Assuming Word 2007

Single click on the textbox line. Text Box Tools, Format menu will appear
on ribbon bar. On left side of the ribbon bar is the Text Direction
control. Click once to change direction, repeat for more changes starting
from horizontal, to vertical down, to vertical wording going up.

Assuming Word earlier than 2007. Single click your text box. The Text box
menu will pop up onscreen (unless you have dragged it to the menu bar.) The
same icon is present to rotate the text.

Hope this helps, let us know.
